🇺🇸 USA: Customs duties are already included in the price. No additional customs fees will be charged upon delivery.

Other international destinations: Orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges vary by country and cannot be accurately predicted in advance. Any applicable fees are the buyer's responsibility.

Are all items authentic?

Absolutely. Authenticity is a priority at Calista Vintage. Every pair is carefully handpicked, inspected and guaranteed to be genuine. All the frames are authentic vintage eyewear from original brands — no replicas, fakes, retro-style pieces or reproductions.

Does my order include the original case, certificate of authenticity or original paperwork?

Included accessories vary by item. Not all items come with their original case or accessories. Over the decades, many vintage pieces have changed hands, and original boxes and paperwork were often discarded or separated from the frames.

Any included cases, certificates of authenticity or original paperwork will be specified in the product description and/or shown in the listing photographs.

Please check the individual listing carefully to see exactly what is included with your purchase.

Can I try on the sunglasses in person?

Yes! Private appointments are available in Brussels to try on pieces from our collection.
To arrange a visit, please email shop@calistavintage.com in advance. Visits are by appointment only.

Condition

The eyewear ranges from New Old Stock (NOS) frames, still in their original packaging, to pre-loved pieces with plenty of life left in them.
As vintage pieces, some may show signs of age or previous use. We aim to provide detailed descriptions and photographs so you know exactly what to expect.
The individual condition of each item is clearly indicated in the product listing, specifying any faults.

Are the frames suitable for prescription lenses?

All the items in the eyewear category are suitable for prescription lenses.
Most sunglasses frames are as well suitable for prescription lenses.

What are demo lenses?

Demo lenses (demonstration lenses) are the transparent plastic lenses originally fitted into frames for display purposes in stores.

They are intended to showcase the frame rather than for everyday use. They must be replaced with suitable lenses before wearing the glasses, as they do not necessarily provide UV protection or vision correction.

If a frame comes with demo lenses, this will be specified in the product description.

Why do demo lenses often have scratches even when they are new stock?

Demo lenses are made of thin plastic and are not designed to withstand the passing of time. New Old Stock (NOS) eyewear can be 20, 30 or even 40 years old and may have passed through several warehouses, shops and private collections over the decades. In many cases, the original boxes were not preserved, leaving the frames and lenses exposed to conditions that can cause scratches.

The important thing to remember is that scratched demo lenses do not necessarily reflect the condition of the frame itself. Vintage frames were often manufactured using high-quality materials that have stood the test of time and can remain in excellent condition, even when their original demo lenses show signs of ageing.

Are all the sunglasses and frames vintage?

Yes! Calista Vintage specialises in vintage eyewear dating from the 1970s to the early 2000s. Every piece is carefully selected for its design, quality and character
Our mission is to rescue as many vintage frames as possible and find them new owners who will treasure them for years to come.
The pair you will receive is the exact one shown in the product listing.
